About the Scheme

Towards Excellence in Digital Standards is an accreditation scheme based on a straightforward set of Level 1, 2 and 3 standards promoting the personal and professional development of digital, data and technology staff, ensuring clinical engagement with digital systems, encouraging an effective and sustainable workforce pipeline and supporting digital leaders from team leader to Board level.  

Whether you have already committed to being an assessor for one of your neighbouring trusts or just want to find out what it involves in being an assessor, this session will provide practical insight and real‑world experience.

During the session, we will cover:

• The purpose and history of the accreditation scheme
• Your responsibilities and expectations as an assessor
• The assessment process and evidence requirements
• Key roles including the DSD Lead
• Best practice tips, do’s and don’ts
• What accreditation means for organisations
• Ask questions, share experiences, and learn from peers across the region

This interactive workshop is intentionally relaxed and open- designed to help you build confidence, understand what is involved in being an assessor, and connect with others on the same journey.
