The South West Finance Academy are hosting its second Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Conference on Thursday 26th February, 09:30 – 16:00 at Sandy Park Conference Centre, Exeter. The agenda features a panel session on the 10-year plan, Equality Impact Assessments and using these in decision-making, a Neurodiversity workshop and more.

13:15 Neurodiversity workshop Tigger Prichard, Neuro-affirming advocate, consultant, presenter and trainer

This session will explore neurodiversity and recognise that it exists everywhere, both in and outside of the workplace. Through Tigger’s personal experience, the session will look at clear communication styles, small practical adjustments that can support neurodiverse colleagues, and how we can better support neurodiverse friends and family and what that means in everyday life.

14:45 Equality Impact Assessments Jamila Dhansey, Equality, Inclusion and Human Rights Manager, NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU and NHS Midlands and Lancashire CSU. This one-hour interactive session introduces the core principles of Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) and explores how they apply in real-world scenarios. Through practical examples, case studies and live audience engagement, participants will gain a clear understanding of why EIAs matter and how to apply them effectively in decision-making.
